NEW CONCUSSION PROTOCOLS FOR YOUTH SOCCER WERE INTRODUCED BY THE UNITED STATES SOCCER FEDERATION IN NOVEMBER 2015. PER THE PROTOCOL, PLAYERS 10 AND UNDER WILL BE BARRED FROM HEADING THE BALL DURING ANY OFFICIAL SESSION - PRACTICE OR GAME.  IF A PLAYER INTENTIONALLY USES THEIR HEAD, PLAY WILL BE STOPPED AND AN INDIRECT KICK WILL BE AWARDED TO THE OPPOSING TEAM.

DIVISION 3 (SPRING 2019 - 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade) - CONCUSSION PROTOCOLS
 FOR YOUTH SOCCER INTRODUCED BY THE UNITED STATES SOCCER FEDERATION IN NOVEMBER 2015. PER THE PROTOCOL, PLAYERS 10 AND UNDER WILL BE BARRED FROM HEADING THE BALL DURING ANY OFFICIAL SESSION - PRACTICE OR GAME.  IF A PLAYER INTENTIONALLY USES THEIR HEAD, PLAY WILL BE STOPPED AND AN INDIRECT KICK WILL BE AWARDED TO THE OPPOSING TEAM.

DIVISION 3 (SPRING 2019 - 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade) slide-tackling will NOT be permitted.


DIVISION 2 - (FALL SEASON ONLY) CONCUSSION PROTOCOLS FOR YOUTH SOCCER INTRODUCED BY THE UNITED STATES SOCCER FEDERATION IN NOVEMBER 2015.  PER THE PROTOCOL, PLAYERS BETWEEN 11-13 WILL LIMIT HEADING DURING PRACTICE AND CAN USE THEIR HEAD DURING MATCH PLAY. COACHES SHOULD EMPHASIZE SAFE HEADING TECHNICALS AND LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF HEADING DURING PRACTICE/TRAINING SESSIONS.


NO CHANGES TO DIVISION 1 REGARDING HEADING.
