The Medford Youth Athletic Association (MYAA) offers a recreational soccer program called the Medford Soccer club (MSC).  The recreation soccer program is for all ages and skill-levels and has two seasons.  The primary season is fall which starts in late August/early September.  MSC also offers spring soccer which begins in late March/early April.  In our younger divisions, recreation soccer matches for the most part, will be scheduled on Saturday mornings between 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM. The schedule normally consists of approximately 8 - 10 matches and is based upon the number of registered players and the number of teams formed in each division.  For our older divisions, some local traveling is required and used upon participating towns, matches may be scheduled at various times on Saturdays and Sundays.  MYAA and MSC are comprised of volunteer board members and parent coaches.  The Club is always in need of additional parent coaches.  During the registration process, please select a coaching role. If you have questions about volunteering as a coach or other supporting role, please contact the Recreation Soccer Commissioner Jason Deroian.

U6 2014
2015
Our U6 Division is designed to introduce the new athlete to team sports and soccer in a fun and loosely structured environment. We conduct 8 - 10 sessions, once each week during the season, and hold NO weekday or weeknight practices. Teams are kept small; rosters are between 6 to 8 player each, and are coached by parent volunteers. Teams are formed randomly with a goal to form equal/balanced teams to promote a fun environment. Matches and training sessions are played on small fields set up within one of our larger fields. Teams may be co-ed; based upon player registration numbers. Players in this division are typically enrolled in pre-kindergarten or kindergarten and must be 4 years of age at the time of registration (09/01/2019).The players begin each session doing very basic soccer drills designed to teach both them and the new coach the most fundamental skills of the sport. Older players and trainers from the "Mighty Kicks" program help organize and run the training drills. After a half hour of drills, the teams are paired off, and the players get a chance to play a soccer match on small fields with "pug" goals. The game is monitored by the parent coaches who remain on the field and continue to provide field instruction and direction. This program is geared towards kids still in the process of developing motor skills, and learning spatial sense. All players receivea MSC uniform jersey, socks and a participation trophy at the end of the season. Saturday 8:30a-12:00p Hartford Crossing
