Welcome to the Cubs

  Good Morning ParentsWelcome to the 2017 season for Culver City T-ball.I want to welcome you all to the Chicago Cubs. I am your Head Coach Maurice Newton. I look forward to meeting all of my players in parent next week.I'm going to keep this email brief with a few initial announcements.

1. DICK’S SPORTING GOODS MEET THE COACHES/- CUBS DAY FEB 18, 2pm - ( Event is til 4pm)Chicago Cubs T-Ball team meet and greetCCLL's "Meet the Cubs" day, to be held from2pm on Saturday, February 18, at the Dick's Sporting Goods store in El Segundo, near the intersection of Sepulveda and Rosecrans in the shopping center with (Best Buy and Whole Foods). While there, we will be handing out hats and coupons to our players and their families as part of our sponsoring agreement with Dick's. I will be at the store at 2pm, this is our first team meeting for the players and parents to meet and get ready for the season which begins March 4th 2017. Players are encouraged to have a baseball glove and T-ball bat (not supplied by the league) batting gloves are optional but I would suggest parents investing in a T-Ball tee for your child to practice on off days.You will receive 20% off your purchase at Dick's sporting goods for the event.

2. First practice The first practice for the Cubs will be held on Thursday February 23rd from 4-5pm at Veterans Park located at 4117 Overland Ave Culver City, CA 90230 on the baseball field located at the south east side of the park.  We will have the majority of our practices on Thursday's before games at the same time (4-5).
