Training has moved inside

If you had not heard yet, both the Larkin center and 1111 Davies Road (Elgin Sports center) have been CLOSED.
Davies Rd is where we ran our regular practices at on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. At the Larkin center we ran futsal on Monday and Friday.

We heard about 1111 Davies Rd closing in late August and the Larkin center in early September.

We immediately started working on securing a new facility.

We will be practicing at Sportsplex, it is located at Randall Road and Dean street about 15 minutes to the south of the Elgin Sports complex.

The facility is located at 1400 Foundry St. St Charles IL. 60174. See the new fields at www.sportsplexstc.net

We will train there twice a week for 18 weeks on there new board less field. They have made one field board less, it has also been expanded to 20,000 square feet. It is all new turf, you cannot wear your cleats. You must wear flats or turf shoes.
The Soccer store on site is offering a 10% discount to everyone who is a Kicker.

We will also be playing 12 games at the facility as well. The new league will not post scores or records. We will have 11 teams playing in league play this year. ( league play will begin in December, more details to follow).

We will also have keeper session starting in January. Also speed and agility will be scheduled as well, ( again details to follow later).

NEW AT SPORTSPLEX ! NEW TURF/ LARGER FIELDS/NO BOARDS
Both fields at Sportsplex are being expanded and new turf is being installed.
The travel team divisions will be played without boards on both fields.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT RULES !
No punting by goalkeepers for U8 through U14 age groups.
U8/U9/U10 age groups, opposition players will have to retreat beyond possession line when goalkeeper is in possession or goal kicks to allow play from the back.

NO SCOREBOARD & NO STANDINGS.
The scoreboards will not be used.
Scores will be kept by referees for seeding purposes.
Division standings will not be kept or published.
Sportsplex staff will work with clubs on seeding and scheduling!
LONGER GAMES !
All travel division games will be played with a 45 minute running clock.
NO RECRUITING RULES !
Coaches attempting to recruit players from other teams or clubs will risk being banned from the building.

As a club we will begin practicing there starting next week. We will train indoor instead of outside.
We will be starting the week of November 3rd.

All teams will practice twice a week for 18 weeks for one hour (except for the HS girls end March 3rd ).
