In House Teams
Our kindergarten program is designed to introduce the new athlete to team sports and soccer in a fun and loosely structured environment. We conduct 10 sessions, once each week during our 10-week season, and hold no practices. Teams are kept small; 6 to 8 kids each, are co ed., and are coached by parent volunteers. Teams are formed by lottery. All players will be chosen at random. Kindergarteners All play at the same time, on small fields set up within one of our larger fields. The kids begin each session doing very basic soccer drills designed to teach both them and the new coach the most fundamental skills of the sport. Older player volunteers from the travel program help conduct and run the drills. After a half hour of drills, the teams are paired off, and the players get a chance to play a game of soccer on small fields with pug goals. This program is geared towards kids still in the process of developing motor skills, and learning spatial sense. All Kindergarten children recieve a Jersey and socks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our first grade program is designed to build upon our kindergarten program, with the primary focus still on having fun and enjoying team sports. The majority of games are played here in Medford, but some are played in the other towns. This is a competitive division with standings, all teams will be formed by lottery. All players will be chosen at random. Our Pinelands program is intended for any child who wants to play soccer, whether they are an experienced player, want to try soccer for the first time, or are heavily involved in other sports and wish to stay in shape during the off season.
